In the context of MUSICES, a research project funded by the German Research Foundation, the Germanisches Nationalmuseum and the Fraunhofer Entwicklungszentrum Röntgentechnik have developed detailed recommendations for the three-dimensional computed tomography of musical instruments and other cultural artifacts. The "Recommendations for the Three-Dimensional Computed Tomography of Musical Instruments and Other Cultural Artifacts" are available on this website together with other project documents and publications. The project results with all technical parameters and descriptions as well as the created 3D reconstructions are accessible via the MUSICES project database.
