The Photographic Collection of the Bibliotheca Hertziana owns more than 1,300,000 photographic positives, negatives, transparencies, digital images and digital copies, most of which document Italian art from late antiquity to the present. In addition to the topography, architecture and art of Italy and in particular of the city of Rome, the artist and drawing sectors form further focal points of the collection. It is possible to search for depicted works or for depicted photographs. The website is available in German, English and Italian.
