Alexander Stark studied media studies and history at the University of Trier (Germany) from 2006 to 2013. Since 2014, he has been a Research Associate at the Institute of Media Studies at Philipps-Universität Marburg (Germany), first in the research project "Advertising and the Transformation of Screen Cultures" funded by the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond, then in the DFG-funded Research Training Group 2279 "Configurations of Film" and, since January 2021, in the consortium for research data on tangible and intangible cultural assets "NFDI4Culture". He finished his Ph.D. in media studies from the Philipps-Universität Marburg in 2020.
