COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) – Open Call: Fund Your Network
The European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) is a funding body that creates research networks known as COST Actions. COST funding is designed to complement national research budgets and is dedicated solely to collaborative activities such as workshops, conferences, working group meetings, training schools, short term scientific missions, and dissemination and communication efforts. ECHOLOT – European Cultural Heritage Optimised Linked Open
In January 2026 the NFDI4Culture co-applicant institution Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB), together with 14 international partner institutions, launched the EU‑funded ECHOLOT (European Cultural Heritage Optimised Linked Open Tools) project, which supports the development and adoption of the Cultural Heritage Cloud (ECCCH). ECHOLOT delivers an open‑source suite that uses AI‑enhanced workflows to curate, enrich and interlink cultural‑heritage data across Europe. The project runs from January 2026 to December 2028. Online Competence Centre in 3D for Cultural Heritage (3D-4CH)
The EU co funded Online Competence Centre for 3 D Cultural Heritage (3D 4CH) brings together partners from the European Union. Its core objectives are to (i) provide open source tools and best practice guidelines for large scale digitisation, (ii) deliver a pan European training programme for curators, conservators and educators, and (iii) enable cross border collaborations such as virtual exhibitions and immersive learning environments.
