On May 4–5, 2023, the community conference Build on Data - Auf Daten bauen of the DFG project baureka.online on the topic of research data in historical building research and monument preservation will take place in hybrid form. Participants have the opportunity to attend the conference at the Technische Universität in Berlin in person or to follow it online.

Who is the conference aimed at?
The community conference is aimed at all those who deal with historic building fabric and collect digital data on built objects. In a joint exchange, needs that arise in the context of archiving and re-use of digital data will be defined. Furthermore, quality criteria for the handling of these data in building research and monument preservation will be discussed.

What you can expect
Together with the participants, those responsible would like to design a new research environment in which, in the future, it will be possible to build cooperatively on the data compiled by the community. What to expect:

  • Presentations on research data management
  • Posters from the expert community
  • Lightning talks on the posters
  • Evening lecture
  • Workshops/roundtables on topics such as data quality, data publication and interoperability
