Save the Date – Fourth Forum „(Further) development of Research Tools & Data Services in NFDI4Culture"

Dear NFDI4Culture community, dear colleagues, dear project participants,

On behalf of the NFDI4Culture consortium, we cordially invite you to the fourth community forum "(Further) Development of Research Tools & Data Services". The meeting will take place in virtual form on Friday, 20 September 2024 from 9 am to 1 pm.

The aim of the event is to identify the needs regarding the (further) development of research tools and data services in consultation with researchers and members of the various communities and professional societies. Funds will again be available in 2025 for the realisation of software solutions.

With the upcoming event, we would like to build on the success of the forums of the last three years, after whose discussion and analysis six measures were proposed to the Culture Steering Board in 2021, ten measures in 2022 and ten measures in 2023 which subsequently received funding (Forum 2021, Forum 2022, Forum 2023).

This year, we would again like to give you the opportunity to present (further) developments of tools and services and to identify additional needs for suitable tools that appear suitable for funding in the future. Measures that have already been funded also have the opportunity to apply again and present planned developments.

The following timetable is planned for the implementation of the forum and the subsequent evaluation and decision-making process:

• end of July 2024: Dispatch of call for proposals, start of submission
• end of August 2024: Submission deadline
• beginning of September 2024: Review of submissions, dispatch of programme
• 20 September 2024, 9 am – 1 pm: Community Forum
• last quarter of 2024: Analysis and selection of measures and decision in the Culture Steering Board, preparation of funding allocation for 2024.

An official call for proposals for tools and services will follow end of July 2024 same time with information on registration for the event.
