Forum „(Further) development of Research Tools & Data Services in NFDI4Culture“

Tools & Services Forum Digital Humanities

On behalf of the NFDI4Culture consortium, we cordially invite you to the first public community forum, which will be held under the topic "(Further) Development of Research Tools & Data Services in NFDI4Culture". The meeting will take place in virtual form on Tuesday, 30 November 2021 from 9am to 12pm.

Funding is available for the (further) development of Research Tools & Data Services inside the NFDI4Culture over the next three years. Together with you as researchers and members of the various professional societies, we would like to identify the needs of the entire community in this regard.

Under (further) development of Research Tools & Data Services we include a broad spectrum of measures for the consolidation, further development and new development of Research Tools and Data Services. This may involve the following measures: Connectivity of the software or service, implementation of an API, porting to current technologies, code refactoring, documentation, conception or development of a test environment, linking of tools and/or services with each other. The further development of new features is also included. Existing needs with regard to desirable new developments can also be communicated.

Please send uns your proposal or needs by 14 November 2021 using the following link: https://cloud.nfdi4culture.de/apps/forms/iFsHzREe6zwyAErD

Multiple proposals are of course also possible. If you will not bring your own proposal, you are still welcome to attend the event and join in the discussion. Registration is possible until 28 November 2021 via the link above.

An overview of the proposed measures and the existing needs as well as the publication of the programme are planned for the 46th week. All measures and needs will then be briefly presented in the forum. Subsequently, we would like to discuss the generic and subject-specific solutions with you in plenary and small groups and thus assort at a needs-based selection of measures. We will then present these to the Culture Steering Board in order to come to a decision on the allocation of funds.
