Can't find what you're looking for in the Integrated Authority File (GND)? Submit your requests via the new “Authority File Services” of our participating Specialized Information Services!

Documented, processed and accessible research data is the basis of quality-oriented, comprehensible and connectable research. Standardized data opens up numerous opportunities for researchers to reuse the data and thus paves the way for sustainable research.
The new services of our participating specialized information services arthistoricum.net, performing arts and musiconn are aimed at researchers and scholars as well as memory institutions who identify missing authority records in the Integrated Authority File (GND) that are needed for indexing and research projects but do not have access to the GND editorial offices themselves.
The Specialized Information Services thus actively support the free availability of research and collection data for their respective subject community in the Integrated Authority File (GND) as well as publication in international reference systems, e.g. the Virtual International Authority File (VIAF). By providing in-depth authority data, the Specialized Information Services make a significant contribution to fulfilling the requirements of the FAIR principles for digital collections.
The activities are part of the ‘Network Arts and Culture’ authority file work of the FID system.
