On November 28, 2025, the Culture Steering Board met for the first time in its new composition. With the start of the second funding phase in October 2025, the strategic steering committee of the NFDI4Culture consortium welcomes three new members, including a completely new community.

Jacqueline Klusik-Eckert will join the CSB on behalf of the Association for Art History from the fourth meeting in 2025, forming a proven duo for art historians alongside Georg Schelbert (Central Institute for Art History, Munich). Klusik-Eckert will fill the vacancy left by Holger Simon (German Mining Museum, Bochum), who is now co-spokesperson in the Culture Co-Spokesperson Committee and responsible for the "Sustainability Framework" for the consortium.

The Association of Digital Humanities Germany is also sending a new face in the person of Evelyn Gius (TU Darmstadt). Gius replaces Christoph Schöch (University of Trier), who has stepped down from the DHd board after many years of service and has thus also passed on his position in the CSB. Together with longterm member Ulrike Wuttke (FH Potsdam) she will represent the Digital Humanities community.

The community of designers is a brand new addition to the consortium in the second funding phase. Boris Kochan (Deutscher Designtag) is renewing the consortium, not only in terms of personnel but also in terms of content.

We are delighted to welcome our new members and wish the newly formed Culture Steering Board every success at the helm and all the best for the second funding phase!
