Coming up – the Cultural Research Data Academy, in collaboration with Dennis Ried from the Digital Musicology Section of the Society for Music Research, is organising its expert forum on the topic of ‘KI in Forschung und Lehre’.

It will take place:

In the first part (AI in research):

There will be two more detailed and in-depth presentations by Clemens Gubsch and Jonatan Steller. In addition, seven lightning talks have been selected, reporting on different levels of engagement with AI; these are by Tobias Bachmann, Robert Klugseder, Severin Kolb, Friedrich Kühn, Stefan Morent, Fabian Moss and Linnaea Söhn.
The aim of these lightning talks will be to give the audience an idea of exactly what the purpose of the method or experiment was and what the experience was like.

The second part (AI in teaching) focuses on the following questions:

  • How can lecturers help students prepare for an AI-driven research culture?
  • How can tried-and-tested methods and skills be preserved and further developed in the age of AI?
  • Which tools and infrastructures have proven effective, and through which institutions can these be established, maintained and made available in a way that respects data sovereignty?

The format will be a fishbowl discussion; in our case, this will involve four colleagues in discussion, with an additional empty seat in between, which will be taken by participants from the audience to ask specific questions or raise particular concerns (this option is also available to online participants).

The ‘fish’ in our bowl are: Stefanie Aquavella-Rauch, Stefan Morent, Benedikt Schubert and, from 3.00 pm, Fabian Rack (online); Andreas Münzmay will moderate the session.

We look forward to seeing you all at what is sure to be an exciting event.
