NFDI4Culture Metadata API
Metadata of all resources as Linked Open Data
The NFDI4Culture portal offers all content as Linked Open Data over this RESTful API. The API implements the Hydra-Specification of the W3C Hydra Community Group. The semantic description of this API can be retrieved by clients via the Hydra documentation file (JSON). Each metadata record offered via this API can also be retrieved in one of following machine-readable LOD serializations. The API is the basis for the Culture Research Information Graph, which together with the Culture Research Data Graph forms the Culture Knowledge Graph (for more details see this presentation).

- description
The importance of digital 3D objects is growing in the field of cultural heritage. Rapid technological developments in recent years have opened up many exciting opportunities. The questions that have arisen cannot be answered in a general way, as it became clear in our event in May, which was dedicated to the topic of 3D objects and archiving. Great topics were touched upon and many further questions were opened up. We would like to take this up and start directly where we left off from May 12!
Whether it is about 3D digitisation, methods for post-processing, 3D metadata, the variety of formats and platforms, repositories and web viewers along with annotation possibilities and, of course, the fields of further application in the museum and education sectors: The topics are diverse. And the knowledge lies with you, in the digitisation community!
We would therefore like to offer a platform for exchange specifically on the topic of 3D digital cultural and research data with our 2nd Community Barcamp on Digitisation in NFDI4Culture. For this purpose, we have brought the FID BAUdigital on board as co-organizer, who will enrich the Barcamp with their expertise especially in the field of architecture, building archaeology and virtual reconstructions.
July 06, 2022: Barcamp: 3D in Cultural Heritage 2022 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) - Online via Zoom: https://adwmainz.zoom.us/j/93772404186?pwd=K29PN2t1bHNhTm5HMDI4b3NLL29BZz09
This is your opportunity to have your say! The purpose of this barcamp is to initiate knowledge exchange, to network and to gain new insights together. Topics from the previous forum on 3D- and long-term archiving in May can be taken up again in more depth, but other currently important problems can also be discussed. Likewise, you are welcome to present your projects here amongst like-minded people. All ideas are welcome!
