NFDI4Culture Metadata API
Metadata of all resources as Linked Open Data
The NFDI4Culture portal offers all content as Linked Open Data over this RESTful API. The API implements the Hydra-Specification of the W3C Hydra Community Group. The semantic description of this API can be retrieved by clients via the Hydra documentation file (JSON). Each metadata record offered via this API can also be retrieved in one of following machine-readable LOD serializations. The API is the basis for the Culture Research Information Graph, which together with the Culture Research Data Graph forms the Culture Knowledge Graph (for more details see this presentation).

The CVMA Digital Resource Manager (DRM) has been developed since 2021 in close cooperation between the Corpus Vitrearum Medii Aevi (CVMA) and TELOTA / IT-DH as a digital tool for recording, managing and researching scientific image collections.
The web-based application combines all functionalities from server connection, structured data storage and visualisation to an intuitive graphical user interface. Advanced search and filter options enable differentiated indexing and analysis of the holdings.
The image data is stored centrally within a logically organised folder structure, eliminating the need for a classic relational database. Metadata embedded in the image files in XMP format is automatically read out using Exiftool and converted into a text-based JSON format.
All metadata is stored synchronously both in the JSON files and within the image files. The data structure ensures long-term traceability and an information base that can be read by both humans and machines.
