Proceedings of the 1. Culture Community Plenary

Little boy with toy pistol

Kickoff NFDI4Culture

"Little boy with toy pistol" Creator: Willy Prager, Owner: Landesarchiv Baden-Württemberg

On February 4, 2021, the first Culture Community Plenary took place, which at the same time was to give the official starting signal for the NFDI4Culture. In addition to the ceremonial opening of the consortium foundation by the director of the Academy of Sciences and Literature | Mainz, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Reiner Anderl and the director of the NFDI, Prof. Dr. York Sure-Vetter, the program also consisted of presentations by the NFDI4Culture disciplines of architecture, art history, media studies, musicology, and dance and theater studies, which were intended to stimulate exchange and discussion. As a change from the professional discussion, there were still artistic performances from the fields of visual and performing arts and music, despite the virtual event format.
