The course, which is supplemented successively with concrete use cases, provides a good insight into the Python programming language. Code can be written directly within the course and the individual lessons are didactically well designed. Even users with little or no programming knowledge can work through the course, but links to more specific and detailed (external) materials make the course usable for users with previous experience as well.

Even though the course ist tailored to the needs of historians, it is also suitable for other humanities scientist who want to take their first steps in Python. Explicit prior knowledge is not required, although decent computer skills are recommended.
