NFDI4Culture Metadata API
Metadata of all resources as Linked Open Data
The NFDI4Culture portal offers all content as Linked Open Data over this RESTful API. The API implements the Hydra-Specification of the W3C Hydra Community Group. The semantic description of this API can be retrieved by clients via the Hydra documentation file (JSON). Each metadata record offered via this API can also be retrieved in one of following machine-readable LOD serializations. The API is the basis for the Culture Research Information Graph, which together with the Culture Research Data Graph forms the Culture Knowledge Graph (for more details see this presentation).

Across all disciplines software is a crucial part of research processes and fulfills important functions in the collection of data, its processing and analysis, publication, re-use, and archiving. Therefore, software is closely interwoven with the process of research data management, and at the same time represents an object that has an underlying life-cycle and needs to be managed accordingly. This holds for software in general, but also in particular for research software.
The focus of the consortium NFDI4Culture lies on research software which is used in the area of cultural heritage and the disciplines represented in NFDI4Culture (among others: architecture, arts history, musicology, theatre, film, and media studies). The aim is to foster and establish the conscious dealing with sustainability of software development, provide information on strategies for sustainability and develop suitable infrastructure components. This shall enhance the sustainability of software development in all underlying dimensions (e.g. technical, organisational, for education and teaching, and for the scientific political system).
On this grounds, on April 20, 2021 the first virtual meeting of the expert forum "Sustainable Software Development" was held. A detailed workshop report is now available at the DHd-Blog.
