NFDI4Culture Metadata API
Metadata of all resources as Linked Open Data
The NFDI4Culture portal offers all content as Linked Open Data over this RESTful API. The API implements the Hydra-Specification of the W3C Hydra Community Group. The semantic description of this API can be retrieved by clients via the Hydra documentation file (JSON). Each metadata record offered via this API can also be retrieved in one of following machine-readable LOD serializations. The API is the basis for the Culture Research Information Graph, which together with the Culture Research Data Graph forms the Culture Knowledge Graph (for more details see this presentation).

The Landesverband Bildende Kunst Sachsen e.V. and the Deutsche Fotothek in the SLUB Dresden offer artists in the state of Saxony, sponsored by the Saxon State Ministry for Science and Art, the opportunity to present themselves and their works in the Werkdatenbank Bildende Kunst Sachsen / Saxon Database of Fine Art Works. The long-term goal of this database is to present as comprehensively as possible the entire spectrum of contemporary visual art in Saxony.
The digital documentation is intended to promote the preservation of the cultural heritage, open it up as a source for art research and make it permanently and freely accessible to anyone interested. Through the use of authority data, standardized metadata (LIDO) and the support of international image exchange formats (IIIF) as well as the connection to the certified long-term archive of the SLUB ensure sustainability and reusability of the data on the highest technical level.
