The curated repository list provides an overview of publication and archiving services for cultural heritage research data that NFDI4Culture considers particularly suitable. It shows users the most important features at a glance: subject area, service description (publishing, archiving), data formats and contact.

The focus is on subject-specific and interdisciplinary repositories that accept data regardless of institutional affiliation, thereby contributing to an open and sustainable publishing culture in the humanities and cultural studies. The services are guided by the FAIR principles as well as domain-specific standards regarding metadata, data quality and stable referencing.

The curated list of repositories was created as part of a comprehensive mapping of publication and archiving services for arts and culture in the German-speaking area by the Task Area "Data Publication and Data Availability". If you wish to offer a research data repository for the Culture Communities or should you miss a service on this list, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
