NFDI4Culture Music Award
The NFDI4Culture Music Award is given by the musicological community in NFDI4Culture and intends to recognize music-related or musicological projects and undertakings that contribute in a special way to the goals in the task areas of the consortium.
In 2022, the NFDI4Culture Music Award was presented for the first time to projects or undertakings in the field of music and musicology that contribute in a special way to the goals in the consortium's areas of responsibility. The award is given in two categories. In category 1, current qualification work can be submitted, in category 2, projects of various kinds by cultural workers and scholars from all music-related disciplines. The jury, consisting of representatives from NFDI4Culture, the Society for Music Research (GfM), the German Music Council and the Centre for Music - Edition - Media (ZenMEM), will shortlist the best projects from the submissions received. The award is linked to project funds of up to 1,500 € or 3,000 €, which can be used to finance billable expenses that contribute to the goals of NFDI4Culture, such as travel expenses, publication costs or expenses for conducting project-related workshops. The award-winning projects are presented to a large audience at the awards ceremony during the annual NFDI4Culture Plenary.
